Brighten the Corners is the production home of writer, filmmaker and book publisher Christopher Lepkowski.

Christopher majored in Computer Science and English Literature at Washington University in Saint Louis, where he also made the Dean’s List and was a recipient of the Missouri Bright Flight scholarship. During his software career, Christopher delivered work for demanding clients including Walt Disney/Buena Vista, Lion’s Gate, PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Kaiser Permanente, eBay, Honda, and Kia.

One of his feature film scripts, RED TEAM, was based on the true story of a “white hat” hacker investigating the most massive cyberespionage threat to date. That script was a quarterfinalist in the American Zoetrope screenplay competition (Head Judge, Francis Ford Coppola).

Another feature film he wrote is currently in financing; shooting is planned to begin in mid 2010. (Further details are still under wraps.)

His short film, TEXAS 1960, has recently been selected for festival screenings.

His compilation of video and photographic documentation gathered by CSULA art history graduates on the murals of Los Angeles (“Walls of Passion”) was recently screened at the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles.

He has been involved with educational software for Disney (English language learning games), and wrote video scripts for the ICanLearn in-classroom education program recognized by the US Department of Education. He has also been an invited speaker on self- and small-press publishing at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

In his spare time, Christopher operates the independent small press Narrow Books and is at work on a novel.
